The Message for the World Day of Social Communications was at the center of a presentation at the Voices Festival – European Festival of Journalism and Media Freedom, one of the main European events dedicated to discussion on the future of journalism and media freedom.
It was presented by Nina Krapić, Deputy Director of the Holy See Press Office. In her talk, she outlined the contents of the Message and its invitation to promote responsible journalism, capable of fostering dialogue, truth, and service to the common good.
Participation in the festival also provided an important opportunity for discussion on some of the main challenges currently facing the world of information: the future of journalism, the relationship between media and social platforms, media literacy, and the role of public service in the European communication ecosystem.
Nina Krapić also shared the experience of the Pentecost Project, an international initiative that trains women religious in the field of communication so that they can tell the stories that arise from the peripheries of the world.
