In a world marked by rapid transformations and increasingly urgent ethical challenges, the Archdiocese is promoting the event “Dialogue with Society”, a major gathering aimed at reflecting on the present and building paths for the future.
The event will take place on October 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at the Instituto Superior de Educação Pró-Saber, in the Humaitá district of Rio de Janeiro. It will bring together representatives of the Holy See, the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB), the Archdiocese, as well as journalists, artists, scientists, academics, religious leaders, and public authorities.
With a proposal for plural and open reflection, the event invites the public to discuss essential themes such as communication, ethics, education, the environment, health, and technology.
More than just a meeting, the event seeks to encourage listening, critical thinking, and collective engagement in response to the transformations that shape contemporary life.
“We live in a time that calls for dialogue, empathy, and responsibility. This gathering is an invitation for different voices to listen to one another, building new bridges between faith, science, culture, and citizenship,” the organizers emphasize.
The event is structured around two thematic panels:
Panel 1 – Education, Politics, Journalism, and Health: Bridges for Social Dialogue
This panel will explore how communication can bring society closer to the major issues of our time, highlighting the role of education as a driver of social transformation, culture as a universal language, and the ethical challenges of covering sensitive topics.
